It all started at the age of 3... I have been racing now for the last eight years, when I finished my A-levels I joined the full time Development Team. Having put in the hard work over the last two years I have now been selected for the British Team. I am hoping to spend time competing on the Europa Cup in the coming season, this is stepping stone to competing on the World Cup Circuit.

I am currently involved in my summer training program, I spend my time in the gym lifting weights or pedaling around Scotland on my road bike. In order to be competitive we have to be at the peak of fitness. This is a full time job!! We start our ski camps soon which involve spending time cycling in the mountains and skiing on the glaciers.

Snowsport GB: How long have you been skiing?
Sophie Readman: I have been skiing since I was 3.

What is your preferred discipline?
Downhill

What are your skiing aspirations?
To win everything to keep dad off my back!

What is your nickname?
Bosey

If you were not a ski racer what would you be doing?
I would be at uni, doing physio.

Who is your secret crush?
For me to know and you to wonder

What’s on your ipod?
Lots of cheesy music

What is your favourite food?
Fajitas

Can you tell us something no-body else knows about you?
I don’t have any secrets I’m blond.

What song is most likely to make you move on the dance floor?
Outcast

What can you be heard saying most often e.g. your favorite catchphrase?
I will tidy my room
