There is little doubt that heading out on a ski holiday has an effect on the environment. At Momentum Snowsports our instructors' aim is to deliver the best ski and snowboard lessons possible while attempting to limit the impact on the mountain environment that operating as a British ski school abroad is likely have.

Delivering ski lessons for our instructors as professionals, means spending for 6-8 hours outdoors and our instructors need the best ski equipment to stay warm and dry. We’ve chosen Patagonia ski gear. Not only is it possibly some of the best around, but Patagonia has a great environmental policy and much of their equipment is made from recycled materials.

As a small British ski school operating in France, our largest environmental effort has been to join an organisation called 1% For the Planet. We have pledged to donate 1% of the funds our clients pay for their ski and snowboard lessons to environmental charities. We believe this is a small price to pay in order to help look after the spectacular mountains that lie at the heart of our winter snowsports.
